I've moved zip codes, so I'm thinking, maybe it's about time to move blogs as well?

This has served me well for the past five years. I mean, really. My first entry was about prom. I will definitely keep this blog, but I probably won't update it anymore.

So here's my new humble abode on cyberspace. http://tapsilog.tumblr.com
Probably won't be uploading on Multiply as much anymore, so it's pretty much just the Tumblr account and Facebook. But same thing for Multiply, nothing will be erased, it just won't be updated.

Visit me! :)

For the first three days of the UAAP 71 Swimming Championships, the Ateneo women's team had been winning the gold and breaking every record for all the relays they had joined.

On the last day, the team settled for a bronze. After that event, this picture was taken.
Believe it or not, those aren't tears of sadness. Rather, this event was the culmination of four days of competition, and thirty years of waiting.

Since Ateneo joined UAAP in 1978, the college team has never won first place in swimming.
That relay, despite coming in third, changed everything for Ateneo.

On September 28 2008, the Ateneo women's team made history. They won over a slim margin of three points. As Coach Archie said, "In basketball lingo, that's like winning the game by one point."

Congratulations to the Ateneo women's team. You guys did it!

I've never cried so much during an awarding than I did at this moment. After every event, I cried. I cried because I was happy, I cried because they were crying, and I cried because this was my last.

Tomorrow, we leave for Laguna.

On Thursday, the fateful day of the next Ateneo-La Salle game, the UAAP Swimming Championships will have started.

I hope that you pray for the swim team as well. They may not be in Araneta, but they will be swimming their little hearts out for Ateneo's glory as well.

This is going to be my last UAAP. (My first two were as a swimmer, my last two as manager)
And no matter how this turns out, I will be eternally grateful that I was able to be part of this team for at least once in my life.

God bless you guys.

Watch your two favorite swim teams battle it out!! Admission is free!
No individual medals, just one WINNER.
10 women and 10 men from UP versus 10 women and 10 men from Ateneo.

Relays and individual events... but the BEST event will be the 20 x 50 meters mixed relay!

Whose side will YOU be on?

See you there!
